One of those days...

See that big grin? That is my usual look...so what's up today? And yesterday...

Have you ever had...one of those days...???

It seems that 'those' days come in spurt or cycles. Like when everything is going way good and then boom! You wake up one morning and everyone has a crummy attitude. Maybe this doesn't go on over at your place, but for most of us it does...

This week has been 'one of those days' kind of a week.

So, I am searching within myself here, so that all of you can hopefully benefit along with me!

I am looking at 'things' trying to find the catalyst...I think it is me and a lack of attention I have been giving my pre-baby routine! I am realizing that there is still some selfishness in me. Hmm...after four kiddos I thought I had given up on all of that, but the best way to find out is to have number 5! Jonathan is an amazing little squirt...always happy and never grumpy really! But, I still have a lot on my plate.

I thought perhaps my 'hormones' where just being wacky...maybe the kids are just a little moody...you know those sorts of things. BUT! I realized that we have been off on our priorities...snuggle time, smiles, and just having fun. We are all so happy when 'WE' are what comes first. So, here I am, PUBLICLY!!!, declaring my resolution to FIGHT my own selfish nature! When the kiddos need mama to stop worrying about the floor and running to the store.Rather than getting huffy over the little things...stop the insanity and get to the fun stuff! When I want to kick my legs and cry, I will buck up and smile, give the kiddos what they are needing. I know that if they have ME and I have them, we'll all be happy!

So, this crummy attitude, hormones, and whatever else is hitting the road! I am done having 'those' kinds of days, especially the ones that turn into weeks! If you are dealing with this too, let's lift one another in prayer. Being a mama is such a blast and a tremendous blessing. Rather than wallow in the hard times and work...let's push through and enjoy what we have got!

Great post! Timely too! I just got to that realization a few days ago! Read my post about M and chess. It's been so freeing! Indeed, let's lift each other up! Love, N
